QUICK CEBU AND BOHOL TRIP
This trip is mainly intended for my mom and aunt. Other than that, I would like to go back to one of my favorite islands, Camotes island, Cebu.
We went to Cebu first and then proceeded to Bohol. After which, we went back to Cebu before going to the airport.

FORT SAN PEDRO
If you want to get to know more bout Cebu's history and foundation, you better go to Fort San Pedro. Knowing that Cebu is considered the oldest city in the Philippines, expect that you'll see historical stuff.
According to Wikipedia, Fuerte de San Pedro is a military defence structure in Cebu (Philippines), built by the Spanish under the command of Miguel López de Legazpi, first governor of the Captaincy General of the Philippines. It is located in the area now called Plaza Indepedencia, in the pier area of the city.

From the Cebu city terminal, we managed to ride on a bus going to Moalboal. The trip took us more than two hours to arrive in our pre-booked place online. It is like a house divided into two rooms.
From where we stayed, we took a tricycle going to what they call the "white beach" in Basdaku area. Because of the distance, we decided to hire the same driver going back to the bus stop.

MOALBOAL
While, we were there, we noticed that the water current in the area was stronger than any other beaches we have been to. It has white sand beaches. There are paid cottages but you can just stay on the sand while others are swimming.
Dining at the place, we were told that Moaboal is known for it's underwater adventures like scuba diving. I wasn't surprised that there were a lot of foreign people and restaurants in the place as well.
A very good place to dine is at Ven'z Kitchen. Nowadays, they offer cooking lessons and extraordinary dishes. Find them here: https://www.facebook.com/venzkitchen/
Going to Simala
![](https://static.wixstatic.com/media/44140c_b1a66d7d4b1040e99aa4087b90efffba~mv2.jpg/v1/fill/w_720,h_405,al_c,q_80,enc_auto/44140c_b1a66d7d4b1040e99aa4087b90efffba~mv2.jpg)
We went to the Monastery of the Holy Eucharist or popular known as Simala shrine or Simala church. It was built in 1998 by the Marian Monks from Pampanga, after many miraculous events happened. Thus, Catholic Christians devotees nowadays visit and pray for miracles. Amazingly, people left marks of the miracles that came true that's why this church is typically crowded.

Santiago Bay Beach Resort
CAMOTES ISLAND
One of my favorite islands is Camotes island. It is a two-hour boat trip from Danao port, Cebu. We stayed at Santiago Bay Resort. As you can see, the resort offers pool, restaurant, massage service, water activities and etc.
From the resort, we were able to have a tour around the island with the use of multicabs. It costs us P 1,500 for the whole trip. We went to different caves, Mangodlong Rock Resort, Bakhaw beach, Baywalk and Danao Lake.
GOING TO BOHOL

From Pier 4, North Reclamation Area, C.Arellano Boulevard, Cebu City, we were able to ride a SuperCat going to Bohol. It was a two-hour trip. They provided movie entertainment and snacks.

Since, we are not native from this place, we decided to hire a car for our tour around Bohol. Check out: http://www.boholtraveltours.com/bohol-package-tour.php for different and affordable package tours around Bohol.

This is my "newly claimed" signature pose. This is taken in the bridge near the Loboc river. Note: Please don't do this, quite dangerous. :)

This is the famous Loboc river. This is where people can have a cruise and enjoy their yummy lunch buffet. They serve variety of foods and entertain people with their folk dances.

This historical site is known to be the Bohol Blood Compact Site is located in Barangay Bool, Tagbilaran City. "The Sandugo was a blood compact, performed in the island of Bohol in the Philippines, between the Spanish explorer Miguel López de Legazpi and Datu Sikatuna the chieftain of Bohol on March 16, 1565, to seal their friendship as part of the tribal tradition."

This site looks nice but behind that smile was a frightened woman who was trying to compose herself despite the fear. (haha) This is the hanging bridge in Bohol. We crossed it and there were many souvenir items and snacks you can grab on the other side of the bridge.

Relax! Of course, vacation is supposed to be relaxing and stress-free. Good thing I found time swinging on a hammock outside the inn we were staying.

Here's the popular and biggest python in Bohol named Tony. There were stories that Tony was very dear to his owner. People even said when owner had the snake and his life, he recovered from his sickness and vice versa. But when the owner died, Tony became weak and later on died.

This is also the place where you can see the tiny creatures named tarsier.

It was also fun going to the Butterfly Garden or Habitat Butterflies Conversation Center found in Bilar, Bohol. The guides were very entertaining and friendly. It was easy for us to talk to them because of our dialect is very close to them.

Walking along this road surrounded by mahogany trees felt so amazing and calming. This man-made forest was planted by volunteers years ago and thus it created a tourist spot in Bohol now.
You can past through this forest as you go to Chocolate Hills.

Of course! No one leaves Bohol without visiting the very well-known, Chocolate Hills. Thousands of people come here to witness the nature's grandeur. When it's sunny, the hills turn brown emulating the color of chocolate. When it rains, the hills turn green.

Even in the past, we were able to go to Bohol and at that time I knew that Bohol was composed of 98% Catholic Christians. The churches in Bohol were also know to be the oldest churches in the Philippines. However, the old churches were destroyed by the typhoon in 2013. Thus, the churches are still in the process of recovering/repairing. This is the Baclayon church.

This is inside the one of the churches in Bohol. It has very similar features with the other Catholic churches in the Philippines.
Culture Facts (Bohol) :
- Businesses can't have their permits approved if they don't put bible verses on the establishment.
- People in Bohol sleep relatively earlier than the other major cities in the Philippines.
- All the public utility tricycles have bible verses written on their tricycles.
Going Back to Cebu

Shopping would not be forgotten especially when traveling with women. We went to Robinsons Galleria. This mall was newly-built so there were few people roaming around. Try the silvanas by Sans Rival! It's a sweet find. <3

This picture was taken in Pink Heaven in SM Seaside. It is one of pastry shops in Cebu. This mall was also newly-built. There were still few stalls opened during our visit.
Cebu and Bohol are indeed good places you want to spend your summer again! I definitely be back!
