CEBU AND BORACAY ISLAND SHORT TRIP

Cebu is one definite place I would always visit. Aside from the convenience, it doesn't run out of a wide range of sightseeing spots to go to. Perhaps, it is because Cebu is the oldest city in the Philippines.

While in the city, I decided to have a little adventure and roam around the city.

Cebu

At Francisco Bangoy International Airport in Davao.

J Center Mall

It was my first time to go to this mall since it's just a small mall. I went to their food court since I discovered that they have very good background and design. It would be a perfect instagrammable scenery. Aside from that, they have lots of food choices and cuisines. One of my favorites is the guyabano and buko juice or shake.

Sugbo Mercado

In the evening, I was thinking it would be good to visit IT park since I heard there's a new place for people to dine called Sugbo Mercado. Just like every night market in the Philippines, grilled and fried foods were also present in the place. The center of the place is reserved for performances and dining too. There were Japanese, Korean, Filipino cuisines, and the like. It is also usually crowded during weekends.

Also near the place is The Pyramid. It is a very elegant restaurant and stylish as well. It is quite pricey but the scene is worth it.

Mountain View Nature Park

I wanted to be one with nature so I decided to visit and hike up to the mountains. Mountain View Nature Park is quite near the Temple of Leah. Upon going there, we rode a jeepney from JY square but tried riding the famous "habal-habal" coming back to the city. The entrance fee is P50.00. Upon going inside, we saw a road going up with the plants and flowers on both sides. They are well-maintained. I breathed fresh air and felt the cold breeze.

This spot boasts their very own infinity pool. There was also a fee upon going in. There was a place for kids and adults as well. It overlooks the view of the city. I felt very relaxed and tempted to swim too. One of the nicest things I love there is feeling the gentle cool wind while walking.

Cebu Eats

Since I also love eating. I made time to look for good restaurants in the city.

First, we tried Koreanderia. It is located at F. Ramos Street, Cebu City. Apparently, they offered us some Korean dishes. I tried their bibimbap. It was worth it's price. The food prices range from P80-P150.

Another resto we tried was Burrow. It is a well-known establishment that offers unlimited chicken wings with different flavors/sauces for only P200 or $4. Indeed, they did not disappoint us. We ate like we're starving.

After all the eating and strolling around the city, we left Cebu happily knowing that I can always visit the place anytime soon.

Boracay

It was my second time coming to the island. I expect the usual, more foreign tourists than locals. I wasn't disappointed. There are a lot of tourists. I have seen congested roads and ways from another station to another station. It should be mentioned that Boracay is composed of three stations. We can always walk around on the sand or on the road.

Before this trip, I already knew about the news of the temporary closure of the island to rehabilitate and cleanse. At first, I was kind of worried about going there, however, my excitement overpowered that anxiety. So, yay!

This is the Caticlan Port in Boracay island.

On the road.

We met my husband's best friend and went out for a seafood early dinner. We had lobsters, shrimps, squid and mangoes.

We stayed in a cheap inn but had a chance to experience a little bit of the service of Hennan Beach Prime. This is where my husband's best friend's family stayed.

Boracay at night.

My concern about Boracay's condition went away when I took a dip in the sea and witnessed both sunset and sunrise the morning after. But it did not stop me from admiring the place due to it's known white powdery sand and pristine beach.

Basking in the sun!

Hanging out before they leave us.

Tried paddling too! Forgive me for the super zoomed shot.

Currently, Boracay's restoration is almost up. It will be opened to the public again on October 26, 2018.

Both places I went to always have a special place in my heart. They are both unique and remarkable.
